There are many great places to go whale watching on Vancouver Island, but three of the best are Telegraph Cove, Campbell River and Tofino. Telegraph Cove is located in the north of the island and is a great place to see killer whales (orca whales). Campbell River is located in the central part of the island and is a great place to see humpback whales, orcas, dolphins… Tofino, which is located on the west coast of Vancouver island and is a great place to see gray whales.
Some of the best spots to go whale watching on Vancouver Island are Sooke, Juan de Fuca Strait, and Haro Strait.
Sooke is a small town located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. It is home to some of the best whale watching in the area. Orcas, humpbacks, and grey whales are all commonly seen in the waters near Sooke.
Juan de Fuca Strait is located between Vancouver Island and the mainland of British Columbia. This strait is a popular spot for whale watching. Humpback whales, orcas, and grey whales are all commonly seen here.
Haro Strait is located between Vancouver Island and Saturna Island. This strait is also a popular spot for whale watching. Humpback whales, orcas, and grey whales are all commonly seen here.
If you come to Campbell River, you can also decide to go on Grizzly Bear Tours that are usually happening from August to the end of October during the big salmon runs.
